Econetix cements its position as the CORSIA carbon asset manager with its first closed deal, bringing CORSIA-eligible carbon credits to the global aviation market

Vienna/Abu Dhabi/Kampala, February 2026: Econetix, a global carbon asset manager specialising in high-integrity carbon credit origination and CORSIA compliance pathways, today announced the closing of its first CORSIA supply agreement with SCB Environmental Markets SA, the leading low carbon commodity firm. The deal marks a significant milestone for Econetix, delivering on its mission to originate and certify high-integrity carbon projects to full CORSIA compliance standard and channel them into the global aviation market.

Econetix Delivers: From Origination to Executed CORSIA Transactions

Econetix has built a specialised and proven capability in navigating the complex regulatory and certification processes required to bring carbon credits to CORSIA eligibility. This includes Article 6 authorisations, Corresponding Adjustment processes, and Registry labelling. The closing of this deal with SCB demonstrates that Econetix is not only capable of originating these assets but of executing commercial transactions around them. This positions the company as one of few globally with both the technical depth and the deal-making track record to operate in this multi billion dollar market.

Under the partnership, Econetix is actively progressing a portfolio of Verified Carbon Credits from Gold Standard-registered Project in the DRC through the required certification pathways toward CORSIA eligibility under both the CORSIA First Phase and CORSIA Second Phase programmes, marking the first of several projects Econetix is advancing across its growing CORSIA-eligible pipeline. SCB will act as the sales and distribution partner, leveraging its global corporate reach to connect these assets with aviation buyers worldwide.

Econetix is building a multi-million yearly CORSIA supply pipeline and is ready to scale this even further.

With demand for CORSIA-eligible credits expected to reach hundreds of millions of tonnes through 2035, Econetix is building toward a multi-million-tonne supply position as its CORSIA-eligible project pipeline matures and advances through certification.

Jakob Zenz, CEO of Econetix, commented:

“This deal marks the starting point for Econetix to be the leading CORSIA supplier. We can originate, certify, and transact high-integrity carbon assets at the level the aviation market demands. We have boots on the ground in the host countries by building deep expertise in navigating the most complex CORSIA compliance pathways. Closing this agreement with SCB validates that we are ready to operate at scale. We look forward to growing our CORSIA-eligible project pipeline into a multi-million-tonne supply position as our projects advance through certification. We are happy to collaborate with SCB as the leading low carbon commodity on this one.”

Natalia Beales, Head of Carbon at SCB Environmental Markets added:

“Being at the forefront of compliance–voluntary market convergence is essential: securing CORSIA eligibility unlocks project potential, corrects growing imbalances between aviation demand and verified supply, and shifts the industry from pilot volumes to scalable, multi-million-tonne pipelines. Our partnership accelerates this scaling by strengthening supply chains and delivering high-integrity credits that airlines can rely on for credible decarbonisation. Our dedicated team looks forward to placing these high quality credits with leading end-users in both Corsia and Article 6 markets.”
