2. Scope

This policy applies to econetix.net and explains how personal data may be processed when you visit the website, contact us, submit a form, or choose to enable optional analytics, marketing or external-media services.

Merely visiting the website does not constitute consent to non-essential cookies or tracking technologies. Optional services are controlled through the website's Cookie Preferences.

3. Technical operation and server logs

When the website is requested, technical information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information and server response data may be processed to deliver the site, maintain security, diagnose faults and prevent misuse. This processing is separate from optional analytics and marketing tracking.

For country-specific routing, Econetix uses the IP2Location Redirection component. The current configuration performs the country lookup on the Econetix server using a local IP2Location BIN database rather than sending the visitor IP address to the IP2Location web API. The component may set the first-party cookie ip2location_redirection_first_visit, which contains a timestamp and validation hash and normally expires after about one day.

4. Contact requests and forms

If you contact EcoNetix or submit a form, we process the information you provide in order to respond to your request and, where applicable, take steps related to a requested service or business relationship.

Some website forms use HubSpot. HubSpot external scripts and forms are treated as a Marketing preference on this website and are not loaded before that preference is enabled. HubSpot forms may also invoke Google reCAPTCHA or related Google anti-abuse services to protect form submissions from spam and automated abuse. Because those form resources are loaded only after Marketing is enabled, reCAPTCHA is likewise not intentionally invoked by Econetix before Marketing consent. If Marketing is disabled, you can still contact us directly at info@econetix.net.

5. Cookies and Cookie Preferences

A necessary first-party cookie named econetix_consent stores your privacy choices for up to one year. It records whether Analytics, Marketing and External media are allowed. This cookie is required so the website can remember and respect your decision.

• Necessary: econetix_consent (privacy preferences, up to one year) and ip2location_redirection_first_visit (country-routing component, normally about one day).
• Analytics: Google Analytics may set _ga and measurement-specific _ga_* cookies after Analytics consent. Google's default cookie configuration can use an expiry of up to two years and may renew the expiry on later visits; browser restrictions can shorten that period.
• Marketing: after Marketing consent, HubSpot may set cookies such as hubspotutk, __hstc, __hssc and __hssrc. HubSpot forms may also load Google reCAPTCHA, which can use Google-domain security cookies when executed. Apollo may load its website-tracking resources after Marketing consent.
• External media: Google Maps or externally hosted media may set or read provider cookies only after External media is enabled.

You can accept all optional categories, reject all non-essential categories, or choose categories individually. You can withdraw or change consent at any time. When Analytics or Marketing is turned off, the website attempts to remove the corresponding first-party Google Analytics and HubSpot cookies from the Econetix domain. Cookies already stored on third-party domains such as google.com cannot be directly deleted by Econetix, but the website stops intentionally loading the related optional service after consent is withdrawn.

6. Google Analytics 4

If you enable Analytics, the website loads Google Analytics 4 to measure website usage and performance. The current measurement IDs are G-2LG7YR3YBD and G-TCLGRL8EZZ.

Google Analytics is not loaded before Analytics consent. If Analytics is rejected, the Google Analytics script and analytics cookies are not intentionally loaded by the Econetix consent system.

7. HubSpot and Apollo

If you enable Marketing, the website may load HubSpot services used for forms, lead handling and marketing-related website functions, as well as the Apollo website tracker used for business lead attribution. HubSpot forms may load Google reCAPTCHA or related Google anti-abuse resources for spam prevention. These optional resources are blocked by the Econetix consent system until Marketing is enabled.

8. Google Maps and external media

Embedded third-party media, including Google Maps and externally hosted video content, is blocked until you enable External media. Before that choice, the website displays a first-party placeholder instead of loading the external resource.

Links that take you to external websites, social networks or map services are not embedded content. If you choose to follow such a link, the destination provider's own privacy terms apply.

9. Website fonts

The website's primary web fonts are served from the Econetix website itself. They are not intentionally requested from Google Fonts by the visitor's browser as part of the current privacy configuration.

10. Legal bases

Depending on the purpose, processing may be based on your consent, on steps necessary to respond to your request or perform a business relationship, on legal obligations, or on legitimate interests such as website security and reliable operation. Non-essential analytics, marketing and external-media technologies described above are controlled through consent choices.

11. Recipients and international processing

Where optional third-party services are enabled, data may be processed by the relevant service provider and its subprocessors. Some providers may process data outside Austria or the European Economic Area. Applicable safeguards and provider terms govern those transfers.

12. Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to respond to requests, maintain security, meet contractual needs, or comply with applicable legal obligations. Provider-specific retention may also apply when you enable an optional third-party service.

13. Your rights

Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority.
