Austria’s biggest football club partners with Econetix from the 2026/27 season for sustainability strategy, CO2 footprint analysis, reduction roadmap, and impact communication.
Vienna, Austria, 3 June 2026: Econetix, a Vienna-based carbon asset manager and sustainability advisor, is the new Official Sustainability Partner of SK Rapid Wien. The partnership runs from the 2026/27 season through 2029/30. Econetix delivers a full sustainability package to Austria’s biggest football club, with 32 Austrian championship titles and over two million fans: sustainability strategy, CO2 footprint analysis, a concrete reduction roadmap, CO2 offsetting through its own verified climate projects, and impact communication.
What Econetix delivers
Econetix supports SK Rapid across the full sustainability value chain: from annual CO2 footprint analysis, to a reduction roadmap with concrete measures, to offsetting of unavoidable emissions through its own climate projects. The package also includes strategic support on ESG reporting and sustainability communication.
The SK Rapid partnership joins the existing Official Voluntary Climate Contribution Partnership with the Eurovision Song Contest Vienna 2026. It shows the breadth of the Econetix offering: from CORSIA-eligible carbon credits for aviation to hands-on sustainability advisory for major sports organizations.
